Dr. K. Dawn Luvaas

Dr. K. Dawn Luvaas has been practicing in the St. Marys area since 1993. She is originally from DuBois, PA and graduated in 1981 from Central Christian High School. In 1985, she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Allegheny College. She completeled her Doctorate of Optomery degree at Illinois College of Optometry in 1989, graduating as Salutatorian of her class. She is affilated with the American Optometric Association, the Pennsylvania Optometric Association, and is a member of the St. Marys Chamber of Commerce and her local Lions club. She enjoys watching her son play soccer and basketball. She also enjoys running and staying fit.

Ann Hoffman

Ann joined Dr. Dawn Luvaas’ practice in May 1998. She has over 20 years of optical experience. She is our Financial Care Coordinator, although she also is experienced in fitting, repairing, and adjusting eyeglasses. She also has experience with contact lenses. Outside of work she loves spending time with her husband, her six year old daughter, her two Dobermans and Welsh Corgi.

Sharon Slaughenhaupt

Sharon has 28 years of optical experience. She joined Dr. Luvaas’ practice in May 1998. She is our main optician; her patience and expertise is particularly helpful when helping all of our patients pick out new glasses. Sharon enjoys supporting her daughter in cheerleading and spending as much time with her as she can.
